NEW YEARS FAVORITES

NEW YEARS FAVORITES

Hi friends, happy January! I don’t know about you but I am very ready for a fresh start. I have been revamping and revisioning my goals for the new year. Making vision boards, eliminating things I no longer need, and just taking time to do the things that make me the happiest! Something that makes me happy is using my money to only purchase the things I need and love. I once heard someone say they would rather sit in an empty house for 100 years than in a house full of things they are not obsessed with. I think about this all the time, we should only be surrounding ourselves with all of the people and items that make us feel our best.

As we start fresh in this first month of the year, I wanted to share some of my favorite things for the New Year with you. Things that are useful and have purpose, and add a lot of value to your everyday life.

Lululemon Belt Bag: I have posted this belt bag before, but I would be remiss if I didn’t share it again for this new year. I love this ‘everywhere’ bag because it truly can go EVERYWHERE! I throw this on all the time before running out the door. It fits everything I need, and still looks chic with a puffy jacket, leggings and sneakers. It comes in tons of fun colors, I am really loving the pastel pink option for spring!

Beauty By Earth Moisturizer: This is my all time favorite moisturizer for so many reasons. I began using a prescribed retinol back in September. If you are familiar with retinoids, you know they are great for your skin but are SUPER drying. Since my skin is very sensitive, I was having a terrible time keeping my dry skin moisturized. I had used Beauty by Earth tanning products in the past, and I am a huge fan of the brand because they use natural and organic ingredients. So they were the first place I turned to when looking for a moisturizer for my face and BINGO! The Anti-Aging Face Cream has been pure magic for me. I highly recommend you try it out, especially for this cold and dry winter months.

Ilia Mascara: I have tried both of the Ilia Mascaras and this limitless lash lengthening serum is my favorite!!! I love the brush, it really helps separate each lash from one another. The product also does not get all gunky like some mascaras I have used in the past. The best part is it is a clean product as well, so you can feel good about what you are putting on your lashes each day!

Baggu Bags: I love love love these bags! Plastic bags are a NO for me, so I invested in a few of these Baggu bags to eliminate plastic waste. They are relatively inexpensive, and made very well so they will last you a long time.

Scallop Plates: I saw these in a target ad and searched for them IMMEDIATELY. Trust me when I say these are going to sell out quick. They are only $5 a piece. I have shared eco-friendly disposable scallop plates in the past, but I love that these are stoneware and come in a few lovely pastel like colors for spring. Obsessed is an understatement!!!

Pink Turntable Organizer: If you are near me, you are likely to find a bottle of nail polish not too far away. On my desk.. beside the bed.. in my bag.. maybe even in my car. My hope with this little turntable is to keep all of my nail polishes contained in one place. I will keep all of the nail care accessories in the middle (cotton balls, nail polish remover, files) and in the outer circle is where my nail polishes will live (we will see)!

I hope you all enjoyed this edit of favorites, and your New Year is off to a great start!

xo,
Makayla
