SO HAPPY YOU ARE HERE
Hi and welcome to Makayla & Co!! I am so excited to be writing to you all for the very first time. I feel like this blog has been a long time coming for me. I have always dreamed of having my own space to share things I love. So, I have finally put my dream into action and did the dang thing!
A little about me: I grew up in a little town, Meadville PA, about an hour and a half north of Pittsburgh. My family owns and lives on 100 acres of land that has been passed down three generations. Growing up, we had an active farm that I was able to be apart of and it gave me the absolute best childhood. I decided to stick around the greater Pittsburgh area for college; receiving my undergraduate degree in healthcare administration from Slippery Rock University, and master’s degree from Point Park University. Currently, I am working for a large medical organization in the Pittsburgh area.
I have always had a passion for creating and planning; whether it be decorating a space, making something in the kitchen, plans for a trip, an outfit, or putting together holiday fun. Over the years I have been sharing pieces of my life and passions on social media (such as Instagram), but I wanted a place more permanent, something I could call my own.
On Makayla & Co. you will be seeing things such as:

Decor inspiration, my goal is to have my home always feel like the perfect mix of an anthropologie store and the set of a Diane Keaton movie

I’ve always wondered what I would name a blog (nothing witty and relevant seems to rhyme with Makayla?!). After some deep thought, having my name followed by ‘and company’ felt like the perfect fit. My friends and family are the most precious part of my life. They are who support me in all that I do and give me the nudges necessary to do something like this. The company of my loved ones will shine through on this blog, because without them all of the fun things and coziness would not mean nearly as much.
