VALENTINE’S DAY TABLE RUNNER
Happy Galentine & Valentine week my sweet friends!! I have such a fun blissful weekend planned and I honestly feel like a kid before Christmas, I just can’t wait and am basically counting the sleeps until. Nothing fancy, just spending time with some precious gems in my life, grabbing coffees, watching rom-coms, wearing pink and getting cozy!
Even if you don’t have big plans and are just staying home, you can definitely still make it the best time! You don’t need a bunch of fancy things to make it festive, you can make your own cocktails, order take out and create your own crafts/decorations. For an easy and fun craft you can follow the steps below!
Find a plain table runner, like the one pictured below. I ordered this one from our good friend, Amazon. If you won’t get it in time, check your local craft store for one, or even just a plain piece of fabric (have them cut it for you!)
Once you have your fabric, lay it out and iron it if necessary. First lay down some news papers or another type of protection so you don’t get pain everywhere (like I usually end up doing anyways). Once you have your fabric laid flat and ready to go, you can use a fabric paint and a wide brush to paint your personal pattern. I wanted the classic look of black, but you could also use pink or red for an even more festive feel. As I painted my pattern I did not really have an agenda, just switched between the X and O’s as I went.
Remind yourself that they don’t need to be perfect, the uniqueness of each one is what makes it so fun!
Let it dry and TA DA you are ready to place it on your table and serve some festive fun!
Some other ides for a fun time at home are:
Drink: Raspberry Moscoto Cocktails, get yourself a heart shaped ice cup tray, fresh raspberries, ginger ale, 1/2 packet of Sweet N’ Low, and a bottle of chilled moscato. In a blender combine your ginger ale, raspberries, and Sweet N’ Low. Split the mixture into two glasses, top off with the chilled Moscato and place your heart shaped ice cubes in!!
Watch: The ‘First Wives Club’, ‘Because I said So’, ‘It’s Complicated’, ‘Pretty Woman’, ‘You’ve Got Mail’, or the ‘To all the boys’ trilogy on Netflix (the absolute best vibes that take you back to high school days).
Eat: Heart shaped pizza (request on from your favorite pizza shop)!!!! OR make a Valentine’s themed charcuterie board!
I hope your Valentine’s and Galentine’s weekend is full lots of love
XOXO Makayla
