SANDERSON SISTER CHARCUTERIE
Halloween is still a few weeks a way, but I am in full planning mode over here. Halloween is one of my absolute favorite times to create festive treats. It’s such a fun time to gather with friends, whether you are throwing a costume party, gathering before a haunted house outing, or just sitting around with some wine! I love to throw in some festiveness whenever I can and what a better way to do so than using the three (very iconic) sisters we all love to hate. Yes, I am talking about the infamous Sanderson Sisters. I put together a charcuterie board that brought these witches back to life.
What you’ll need:
3 Brie Cheeses (or any other of your favorite round cheese)
Pepperoni
Mozzarella Cheese
Blackberries
Swedish Fish (for lips)
Pita chips and crackers
Assembly:
Once I had the three brie cheeses lined up, I rolled up pepperoni for Winifred’s hair. Some of the pepperoni had a difficult time staying rolled, so I used toothpicks to hold it together. Next I moved onto Sarah Sanderson’s hair, I used a block of mozzarella cheese and tore it into pieces, placing it strategically around her face. Last but not least I recreated Mary Sanderson’s hair with fresh blackberries. Now that the hair, which I feel lis the most critical part was completed, I moved onto their faces! For these wicked sisters lips I used Swedish fish, shaping them into their distinct shapes. For their eyes, I actually used little pieces of noodles and colored them black because it was the only thing I could find to get the look I wanted. However, if you can find some type of black candy that would be an even better option!
I couldn’t do this cheese board without making a reel, so here is the link for it!
I hope you enjoy and remember it’s just a bunch of Hocus Pocus!
